We drove, well hubby drove I rode, almost an hour to north Georgia to pick up our #3 package of BEES! Here we go............... Both hives are ready waiting on our Bees! It does look like we'll only be picking up one of our hives this Saturday. The distributor for the other has put off delivery. We'll find out soon when that will be.  An article even in the deer magazine. Got to love a group that plants dutch clover!

#cedar #madeprettydarnwell  To stand or not to stand. Well, I thought we'd have wood stands. DH on the other hand thought I wanted something else. This was a picture of where it was taken down. No to the concrete blocks and landscape timber stand.
~Stands coming soon.  In the middle of the backyard, yes that's where we decided to put the hives. It gets the most sun, it's away from our neighbors property and I can see them from the back windows. Yes, I joined the ranks of window looker outer.
 Just starting out as beeks of course we attended Bee School at a local club. The one day class was very interesting. There were speakers on everything from equipment, what you'd see in a hive, lots of hands on displays, raffles and an ER doctor on allergic reactions. OH, did I mention raffle? When we walked into Bee School on this Saturday we knew we'd have one hive. In fact we've ordered it and would be getting it in April. When the raffle drawing started we ended up winning a basic hive from one drawing and a three pound package of bees on the second drawing. Amazingly enough we also won some frames and honey. Yes, we played the lottery when we left, but apparently the raffle was as lucky as we were going to be. I can live with it. Now... to plan for TWO hives instead of one. Documenting Bee School apparently wasn't high on my list. #fail  Looking into the backyard trying to decide where we should place the ladies hive and yes, I was distracted by this handsome young man. Isn't he beautiful?
 Found a few books at my favorite book store! What...me with books? :D
